Dagdusheth ganpati:
Mr. Dagdusheth Halwai was came from karnataka and settled in pune become a successful sweetmeat seller and a rich businessman. Afterword, he lost his son in a plague epidemic. Then he and his wife go into deep depression and he meet their Guru Shri Madhavnath Maharaj to get blesing himself from his Guru, Shri Madhavnath Maharaj who tell him build Shri ganesha Temple, and Dagdusheth Halwai started to build it it was completed in 1893. Lokmanya Tilak the Indian Nationalist leader was a close friend of Dagdusheth, who saw such dedication towards ganesha and also see the builded temple in the idea of celebrating Shri Ganesh fastival publicly and festival struck him. Lokmanya Tilak who started Ganapati festival as public festival to celebration to bring people together for the freedom fighting/ struggle, agdusheth Ganpati became the most respected and popular idol in Pune. Thousand of people visited Dagdusheth ganpati in every day,
Raja dinkar kelkar museum:
Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum is the finest museums in the Shukrawar Peth, Pune city on the Bajirao Road, Pune, Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum is personal collection of Dr Dinkar had more than 15,000. all personally collected by Dr. Kelkar from all over india and world. When his son (Raja Dinkar) died at the age of seven, he decided to do something in his remembrance and that is how the idea of building this museum. Dr. Kelkar handover his collection to the Government of Maharashtra. A Department of Archaeology Now the museum has 20,000 different articles. Dr Dinkar G. Chaturshringi literally means “four peaks, temple has shrines of Durga, Laxmi, Vishnu. Chaturshringi is middle of the pune city and it is called the green haven. at the time of navratri estival, the entire temple is lit up with lamps making it a beautiful sight. Goddess Chaturshringi, known as Goddess Ambareshwari, is considered to be the presiding deity of the city of Pune.
