“Satara” The name is derived from the seven-Hills seven-(sat) hills-(tara) surrounded town. Two great rivers flowing the Krishna and Veena rivers. Satara district is located in the western ghat/ part of Maharashtra.‘SATARA’ was the capital of Maratha Kingdom.

BRAHMAPURI: situated in satara district near rahmatpur village 2Hrs drive from pune river Krishna flowing near Brahmpuri. In the Markandeya Purana it is described as the city of Lord Brahma. From ancient times yogis have lived here and meditated in Brahmapuri. On the left side of river bank Bhavani Nahani – (the bathing place of Bhavani Devi) also just near from it is a very small temple of Shri Bhavani. It said that the water in this bathing place is healing, especially for the skin disease.
